Life is what happens when you are busy making other plans. But it is also what happens when you peruse through your cookbooks in search of new, delightful meals, when you set the table with colourful cutlery, fold napkins, and what happens when you arrange an autumnal bouquet in your favourite vase.
The AW23 collection from Broste Copenhagen has been shaped by the life we want to live. The actual life – that involves breadcrumbs on the floor and stains on the tablecloth, washing the pile of dishes at midnight, and that cake you forgot about in the oven, that still works if you dress the slightly burnt crust with a dash of frosting or slap of whipped cream.
We love the small surprises and unplanned occurrences of everyday life, and our designs are informed by the idea that the home should embrace the Friday night highlights as well as the mellow Sundays, the Monday blues, and the Saturday night fever. The collection is imbued with an understated charm that is easy on the eye and easily mixed with our previous collections. It is inspired by Mediterranean meal gatherings, clean Nordic furniture, textiles in a calming palette of demure colours and all the small details that complete the home.
With this collection, we want you to feel at home, at ease and ready to invite company no matter the occasion or the mood. It’s about making the everyday appetizing, festivities fuss-free and the colder season feel warm, bright, and full of memories awaiting. Right here at home – where life happens. Home is where the B is.
