A’ Design Award is an international, juried design accolade established to recognize and promote good design.

A’ Design Award & Competition (designaward.com), one of the World’s largest and most diffused international design awards announced results of the 2023 – 2024 design competition: 1642 Winners from 114 countries in 151 different design disciplines. Entries were carefully evaluated by an internationally influential jury panel composed of established scholars, prominent press members, creative design professionals and experienced entrepreneurs who devoted great care and attention to details while voting each entry.

Mushroom Pet Bowl by Kama Muta_______________________ Inspired by the shapes of mushrooms, the pet bowl is practical and ecologically beautiful. Following the mushroom growth, the pet bowl is outlined by smooth and gentle curves to evoke a sense of vitality. Incorporating botanical elements into pet appliances aims to encourage appreciation and respect for nature.

Cubiventure Pet House by Shibing Yang _______________________Both outdoor living and the pet economy have been booming in recent years, which reflected a shift in lifestyle. Inspired by such a trend, Cubiventured was designed to be space-saving and multi-functional to reach a broader audience. The design was inspired by the expandable campervan which creates extra space when needed, with a furniture-making background, we came up with a structure similar to drawers finalizing its technical feasibility.

Calligraphy Study Desk by Bai Xiangyu _______________________Traditional culture is a national treasure, with calligraphy and traditional Chinese painting as its important components. For children, learning these traditional arts not only fosters their creativity and artistic sensibility but also contributes to the preservation of China’s rich cultural heritage.

Infinity Console by Cesare Arosio_______________________ The inspiration for the product, comes from the long and intense collaboration with the company Laurameroni design collection. A unique, diverse and distinguishable company thanks to its ability to work with materials. These are the characteristics and therefore the inspirations that led to the design of the Infinity product in its complexity, materiality and uniqueness. Powerfully expressive, this console draws inspiration from the fluid, organic shapes of waves, true sculptures produced by nature.

A’ Design Competition results are announced every year on April 15. Best products, projects and services worldwide that demonstrate superior design, technology and creativity are rewarded with the A’ Design Award; the symbol of excellence in design and innovation. There are five different levels of distinction: Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze and Iron A’ Design Awards are distributed annually in all design disciplines. Designers, companies and institutions from all countries are annually called to take part in the accolades by nominating their best works, projects and products for award consideration.

Ariu Armchair by Research and Development Design Italia Srl __Ariu draws inspiration from the spherical shapes of the atoms that make up water, as it encapsulates the intrinsic relationship between humans and natural resources, with a particular focus on the Puglia region which has been facing deep issues with water resources in recent decades.The cohesion among the spherical elements of Ariu is not merely symbolic, but it rationalizes the convergence of comfort, nature, and versatility in line with the principles of ecodesign.

Arkhe Furniture Collection by Fulden Topaloglu _______________________Arkhe Collection is a tribute to the beautiful amphitheaters dispersed throughout the Mediterranean geography and to all the history, culture and myths they whisper to our collective consciousness. As a lucky kid growing up in the Aegean coast, the visits to these majestic remains of ancient times was an indispensable tradition of our summer vacations. These visits always left me in awe, giving a larger than life feeling to the mind and soul of that little kid I was back then.

Tau Murano Small Table by Tulczinsky_______________________Tau Murano was born from the long collaboration between Reflex and the masters who preserve the ancient traditions of Venetian glass art. It combines a coffee table and a decorative object, creating an elegant and nostalgic vibe that can be used to beautify any environment, without being restricted to a specific area of the house.

Royan Sofa by Esmail Ghadrdani_______________________The Royan sofa is inspired by the letters of the Nasta’liq calligraphy. Nasta’liq is one of the beautiful calligraphic styles that is used in Iran and many Islamic countries. The unique curves and forms of this style have made it visually pleasing and beautiful. The soft shapes and special design of this furniture are a symbol of the beauty of Nasta’liq calligraphy.

Hone Shelf by Pablo Vidiella_______________________When facing Hone Shelf, I have nature and living forms as a reference and inspiration. Every curve and surface present in nature has a biological explanation related to a certain function over time, and these evolutionary transformations are my source of inspiration to create Hone Shelf. The creative process consists of trying to emulate this natural process through natural materials and give a function to it, in this case a bookshelf.

The A’ Design Awards are given for Good Spatial Design (Architecture, Interior Design, Urban Design and Landscape Design), Good Industrial Design (Product Design, Appliance Design, Vehicle Design and Machinery Design), Good Communication Design (Graphics Design, Interaction Design and Marketing Design), Good Fashion Design (Garment Design, Fashion Accessory Design and Footwear Design), Good System Design (Service Design, Design Strategy, Quality & Innovation) as well as for Achievements in Arts & Literature.

Laureates are invited to attend the glamorous gala-night and award ceremony in Italy where they would be called to stage to collect their trophies, award certificates and yearbooks. Winner are also provided exclusive space to take part in the “best designs of the year” exhibition to showcase their works in Italy. Laureates are also entitled to receive the “A’ Design Prize”.

MT 12 Coffee Table by Benoit Vauthier_______________________ Traditionally, the cabinetmaker covered a piece of furniture made by a carpenter with marquetry of noble and rare materials to give it value. Today, with globalization, these materials are losing their preciousness and uniqueness. The question was : „What value can I add to furniture today?” The answer came from looking at a beautiful landscape and figuring out how to bring it home. I began with wall sculptures of mountains and then desire to see it as central element on furniture.

Aurora Bar Table by Haixu Zhang _______________________ The Aurora bar table uses three light modes to create an entertainment atmosphere exclusive to users through a simple button: the colorful constant light mode is a fashionable decoration of daily life, the breathing light mode is a quiet companion for alone time, and the flash mode is an exciting booster for a multi-party gathering. The illuminated matte glass adds a touch of haziness and mystery to wine sets, while waterproof structure of the tabletop prevents spilling drinks during parties.

Mushroom Floor Lamps by Priyam Doshi _______________________The inspiration was to add joy and a sense of fun to the boring, mundane lifestyles and objects around us. The floor lamps are inspired by the abundant beauty of mushrooms found in nature. The idea was to bring nature inspired forms into our homes, adding a touch of magic to our spaces.

The A’ Design Prize is a highly coveted and comprehensive winners’ kit given to A’ Design Award & Competition laureates to help dissemination of their news to further and wider international audiences. In addition to the trophy, certificate and book, the A’ Design Prize includes PR and marketing services such as translation of award winning works to dozens of languages, press release preparation and distribution, lifetime license to use “award winner” logo, public relations campaign for winners and communication of awarded works to thousands of media members.

The Allegory Art Installation by FunDesign.tv  Tomoko Nagao_______________________ „The Allegory” of the Taipei Big Dome unfolds across multiple layers, drawing inspiration from the iconic ceiling fresco by Italian artist Giovanni Battista Tiepolo, whose Baroque legacy transcended into the early 17th century. Visually, the classic Rococo is intricately woven into the canvas. The fusion of Rococo aesthetics with symbols such as baseball stadiums, consumer goods, and entertainment forms a rich tapestry of diverse beliefs.

Red House Exhibition by Chih Liang Liu and Sing Lee The Lantern Festival is a highly anticipated and celebrated event in Taiwan. With the development of the times, this festival has slowly become one of the most important celebrations in the cities. In a modern city, providing a lively celebration that preserves the historical and cultural essence of the city has become a unique work of art. We use visual graphic installations to achieve this goal, At the same time, the installation can also decorate the streets with colors and increase the brightness of the lighting, and become a business card of the city.

Seaside Wall Decor by Rianne Aarts Inspired by nature, Seaside emerged from my fascination with the enduring dialogue between land and sea. This circular fiber artwork encapsulates the timeless harmony and tension between these natural forces. Through it, I hope to evoke contemplation about the dynamic beauty of our coastlines, encouraging a deeper connection with the natural world.

Endless Succession Installation Art by Jin Ying Yei Tao Pottery Ltd The landmark epitomizes the diversity of local ecology. The permeable design is like an archway that leads visitors into the Forest Recreation Area surrounded by nature. The shape of the work resembles an upright figure 8 of ‘infinity’. Located on the wooden trestle at the entrance of the Neidong National Forest Recreation Area, it is green in color with red and black totems. When one gets closer, there are carves of common species in the area. The extremely realistic animal and plant totems on the column are not only photographed but also sculpted by experienced masters.
